Nobody wants paragraphs and paragraphs of purple prose, but I'm really curious about the physical details of people's characters. Here are some questions/prompts/things; pick one or fifteen characters, answer, and post for the edification of your RP partners. ^.^

Typical outfit, or sense of style? shit like this - leather, ladies' trenchcoats, button-down shirts, boots, jeans. I often ignore the fact that he is probably wearing 20-hole Doc Martens because I am lazy and bad.

Height? 5'6"ish? In other words, shorter than you expect!

Hair color? Dark-brown-to-black-ish. Generally looks in need of a haircut.

Eye color? Not-quite-as-dark brown.

Body type (the more detail the better-- for instance, perhaps they have very bony wrists or super short legs)? Room temperature. But no, shape-wise, the word I would use is... dense. More muscle in less space than you would expect if you saw him with his coat on.

Tattoos, piercings, scars, birthmarks, amputations, etc? Extremely faint bite scar on the back of his neck.

Typical expressions and/or gestures? Always doing something with his hands. stuffed in pockets, clasped behind back. Also has a wide range of sarcastic faces for every occasion.

Posture and movement? shit you know what I'm going to have to take multiple paragraphs here.

OKAY SO LET ME TALK ABOUT MOVING.

He spends almost all of the time moving way, way more slowly than he could. This tends to result in grace and a certain sense of deliberateness. but on the other hand he doesn't put huge effort into controlling the appearance of how he moves.

when he's angry he tends to move very efficiently and abruptly; when he's flirting he is all over your personal space; when he's with someone he trusts he is cuddly as hell. also he slouches when he sits but straightens when he stands or walks, except when he leans on things. he likes leaning on things.

What does their voice sound like? Like a late-teens version of Robert Downey Jr's Sherlock Holmes. But with more modern American colloquialisms. And an occasional tendency to mimic Tony Stark.

Hygiene routine, if any? I am pretty sure he showers but I do not exactly have details worked out?

Somewhat related, what do they smell like (take this one as metaphoric as you want, this is fiction)? Like a vampire. so like a less gross corpse, basically. Also Earl Grey and/or blood, depending what he's been drinking lately.

Any physical insecurities? Not remotely. Psychological insecurities, oh yes, but Sherlock is quite at home with all aspects of his body. Including the part where it's dead and has occasional fangs.

Body type (the more detail the better-- for instance, perhaps they have very bony wrists or super short legs)? Lithe is a good word. There's not a lot of bulk to him, but what there is is very solid.

Tattoos, piercings, scars, birthmarks, amputations, etc? Most versions of Sherlock that live past seventeen wind up with a vampire bite scar on the left side of their necks, varying in severity. None of the rest of that shit applies.

Typical expressions and/or gestures? Glances up a lot, per this icon. Tends to put his hands away—tucked in pockets, clasped behind back—unless he expects to need them for something.

Posture and movement? Stands up straight, but slouches when sitting. Tends to move in a very relaxed, unhurried way, unless he's stressed about something.

What does their voice sound like? Like RDJ!Holmes as a teenager, except when he's being someone else, in which case he sounds like RDJ!Holmes as a teenager doing a perfect imitation of whoever. Tony is a frequent target.

Hygiene routine, if any? he is a very clean person generally, but I don't have details.

Somewhat related, what do they smell like (take this one as metaphoric as you want, this is fiction)? Earl Grey.

Any physical insecurities? his issues with his body all have to do with how it got there.

Typical outfit, or sense of style? simple flat subdued colours, button-down shirts, jeans or slacks. if this sounds familiar, there's a reason for that. XD Avoids skirts at all costs - will wear a suit if required to dress formally.

Body type (the more detail the better-- for instance, perhaps they have very bony wrists or super short legs)? Spare. Muscular. She's built to the same lines as male Sherlock, more or less, which means she's much less gender-typical than he is.

Tattoos, piercings, scars, birthmarks, amputations, etc? Her vampire scar, if applicable, is nastier-looking and more visible than male Sherlock's.

Typical expressions and/or gestures? Per male Sherlock from the most part, but she has a little more economy of movement.

Posture and movement? Very poised, generally. She doesn't make a big deal of it or appear to be on constant alert, but she more or less walks around expecting that at any moment without warning she might be called upon to do violence. This is because her life experience so far has led her to conclude exactly that.

What does their voice sound like? Nice. English. A little low for a woman, because it's pitched the same as male Sherlock's.

Hygiene routine, if any? again! she cleans herself! I am not privy to how!

Typical outfit, or sense of style? Wears a lot of dresses. Left to her own devices she'll go for things that are practical as well as feminine. If she's wearing something with no sleeves and a loose knee-length skirt, it is very likely she had it designed specifically to be easy to kill people in.

Height? 5'6"ish! What a surprise!

Hair color? Dark brown/black.

Eye color? dark brown.

Body type (the more detail the better-- for instance, perhaps they have very bony wrists or super short legs)? Muscular; also, calculated! Killer Sherry is trans and had all her gender confirmation surgeries at the Capitol, so her breasts were literally designed by experts.

Tattoos, piercings, scars, birthmarks, amputations, etc? The fact that she's trans may be apparent on very close inspection. Other than that, no scars and so forth.

Typical expressions and/or gestures? She's very low-affect! She tends toward subtle facial expressions and understated gestures.

Posture and movement? Okay so you remember how Lady Sherry goes through life expecting to be assaulted? Take that shit to eleven. Killer Sherry thinks that way and acts like it. She always moves very efficiently, she always has good posture, and she is always, always ready to kill something at a moment's notice.

What does their voice sound like? Weird-as-hell quasi-North-American accent; other than that, standard Sherry.

Hygiene routine, if any? I might have to just straight-up skip this question because I never answer it.

Somewhat related, what do they smell like (take this one as metaphoric as you want, this is fiction)? Depends where she's been lately. District Three smells vaguely industrial no matter where you are; visits to the Capitol usually mean she goes around smelling like other people's excessive perfume.

Any physical insecurities? Nope. Well, she has the usual Sherry issues about perceiving her body as an artifact of someone else's creation, albeit for very different reasons, but she doesn't have any problems with the workmanship.

Typical expressions and/or gestures? Looks down at people a lot! Because he is taller than they are! Also fiercely maintains his personal space.

Posture and movement? Occasionally slouches, occasionally doesn't. Mood may be a factor. Never touches anyone (except when he does).

What does their voice sound like? Very, very deep. Kind of quiet. English.

Hygiene routine, if any? Cold showers. Because they are more comfortable.

Typical expressions and/or gestures? Laughs a lot. Eloquent hands. Likes to touch people and things.

Posture and movement? Highly variable. Sometimes slouches, sometimes straightens; sometimes moves fast, sometimes slow; often graceful, once in a while clumsy.

What does their voice sound like? Low and smooth, but often with bizarre cadence or unusually placed emphasis—represented by emphasizing or elongating innndividual syllables or sssounds. In general, often enunciates words with exaggerated precision.
